An Introduction

Starlight Dance Works provide expert tuition in all aspects of the performing arts. Here at Starlight Dance Works we recognise that your success is our success!

And so we are dedicated to helping every student to achieve his or her potential.  We are committed to facilitating the development of our student's talents and skills and endeavor to ensure that they find their training enjoyable and fulfilling.

Starlight Dance Works opened it's doors in 1972 under the direction of Linda Stobbs.  Now a thriving school of excellence providing classes in Dance, Drama & Singing for children and adults of all ages.

Our students are encouraged to perform at every opportunity both amateur and professionally.  Many of our students have worked extensively on TV and in the West End.  Our students first burst onto the West End stage in December 2006 in the Sound of Music with Connie Fisher.  Followed quickly by 5 students in the grand re-opening of Joseph with Lee Mead (with a further 5 that performed with Gareth Gates.  More recently we had two children (brother & sister!) performing in Billy Elliot as Small Boy and Alison Summers & Angela Robson, and one of our singing students enjoyed a six month contract in Oliver the Musical with Rowan Atkinson..

Our examination results in dance, drama, singing and musical theatre show the high level of tuition within the school being described as a centre that consistently exceeds the expectations of the BTDA.

"Starlight Dance Works is for everyone! Children to adults and absolute beginners to professionals - we are here to teach, inspire, support and encourage students to new levels of excellence."
