Expert tuition in all aspects of the performing arts

Here at Starlight Dance Works, we recognise that your success is our success, and so we are dedicated to helping every student to achieve his or her potential. We are committed to facilitating the development of our student's talents and skills and endeavour to ensure that they find their training enjoyable and fulfilling.

We actively encourage anyone who wants to audition or take part in outside productions or festivals, as we believe that every performance builds on a student’s confidence and skills.

Performance Opportunities

We take part in performances locally and we also organise trips away which include taking part in shows in local theatres. All our students are able to take part, whatever their ability. Trips have included the Isle of Wight, Blackpool and Euro Disney. The cost of costumes for these and our own shows is usually met through our varied fundraising events such as family-friendly Bingo, Afternoon teas, Quiz nights and bag packing at local supermarkets. We usually charge a small hire fee of around £5 per costume, which helps to keep costs down for parents. Students are encouraged to participate in fundraising events; this not only makes them more successful but builds on the team spirit and friendships which make our school a family.

Classes for everyone - Children to adults, beginners to professionals

We are here to teach, inspire, support and encourage students to new levels of excellence. Starlight Dance Works has been established in the local area since 1972 and continues to provide excellent all-round training for its students. The school is now run by Karla Moss a fully qualified dance teacher with a team of highly qualified, experienced and well-respected professionals, who strive to maintain high standards of teaching. Some of our staff are seasoned performers and are thus able to give students a real insight into the world of professional theatre, offering invaluable advice. All of our staff members (teaching and non-teaching) hold a current DBS check and have undergone a First Aid Course.
